Two adolescents injured in Bosques de Manzanilla shooting, Mexico
On the night of 4 August 2026, two minors aged 14 and 16 were shot in the Bosques de Manzanilla neighbourhood of Puebla. The attack occurred around 22:00 near Acueducto Manzanilla street, where armed assailants opened fire repeatedly. Both victims were taken to a local hospital; the 16‑year‑old was reported out of danger, while the 14‑year‑old remained in serious condition. Emergency services, municipal police and civil protection secured the area and cordoned it off through the night. Authorities linked the incident to a nearby suspected drug‑selling point, which is now a focus of the investigation. The State Attorney General's Office has opened a criminal case, but no arrests have been reported so far.
