Mexico rescue secures missing teen; father arrested in California incest case

A 14-year-old girl has been safely rescued in Mexico following an Amber Alert issued in California. The rescue was a collaborative effort involving the FBI and Mexican authorities.

Authorities arrested the girl’s father, 38-year-old Sergio Galvez Perez, during the operation. Perez was reportedly found in possession of narcotics. He faces numerous felony charges, including incest and unlawful sexual intercourse, following allegations that he abused and impregnated his daughter.

The case is linked to the death of a newborn, referred to as ‘Baby Angelita,’ who was found dead near a field in north Monterey County on August 1. While the teenager was initially investigated in connection with the infant’s death, the Monterey County District Attorney’s office later clarified that she is a victim of her father’s abuse.
