Mexico road safety reports seven deaths in transport accidents

The General Coordination of Road Safety (CGSV) reported 261 road incidents involving transportation between January and October 2026, resulting in 304 injuries and six deaths.

A recent incident on October 16 in the Independencia neighborhood brought the total death toll to seven. A pedestrian was struck by a Runner Line transport truck. Initial reports attributed responsibility to both the driver, for speeding, and the pedestrian, for reportedly crossing imprudently.
