Mexico schools not set to close on July 6 2026 despite soccer match
The Mexican education authorities have not announced any suspension of classes for Monday 6 July 2026 in Puebla, even though a national soccer match is scheduled for Sunday 5 July. Previous matches led to class suspensions in Mexico City and other states, but no official decision has been made for Puebla. The SEP calendar lists regular school attendance for that Monday; Friday 3 July 2026 is marked as a grade‑recording day, and the last day of the 2025‑2026 school year is Wednesday 15 July.
Parents and students are advised to follow any future announcements from the education ministry, but as of now classes are expected to continue as scheduled.
