Mexico secures six top spots in Condé Nast Traveller 2026 awards

Mexico has secured a dominant position in the Condé Nast Traveller 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, with six of its beaches named among the top 20 in the Americas. The rankings, based on reader votes regarding water clarity, sand quality, and visitor experience, highlight the country as a premier destination for luxury and leisure.

Tulum Beach earned the second-highest regional ranking, celebrated for its combination of turquoise Caribbean waters, white sand, and proximity to ancient Mayan ruins. Other recognized locations include Playa del Carmen, Akumal Beach, Playa Balandra, and Playa del Amor in the Marietas Islands.

In addition to coastal beauty, the recognition emphasizes the diverse natural and cultural assets of the region, such as the marine ecosystems of Akumal and the subterranean landscapes found in the surrounding areas.
