Mexico sees surge in foreign investment from Poland, Denmark, and Taiwan

Mexico has seen significant growth in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) during the first half of the year, totaling $34.968 billion, representing a 2.05% annual increase according to the Secretariat of Economy.

Notable surges in investment have come from several nations. Polish investment grew by 1,912% annually, rising from $0.6 million to $12.7 million. Polish companies have expressed interest in sectors including circular economy, water security, renewables, energy storage, and electromobility, with capital distributed across Mexico City, Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Yucatán.

Denmark also reported a massive increase, with investment rising 1,658% to $153.9 million. Meanwhile, investment from Taiwan, a major commercial partner, grew by 896% to reach $238 million.
