Mexico showcases folklore performance in Nuevo León and legend tours in Xochimilco
The folkloric group Citlali performed at the Foro Cultural Parque del Agua in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, presenting music, dance and colorful costumes representing traditions from several Mexican states, including Jalisco, Sonora, Veracruz, Chiapas, Oaxaca and Nuevo León. The event was part of the "Mundial más Norteño" cultural program organized by the state Secretariat of Culture.
A separate cultural night was offered in Xochimilco, where participants boarded a trajinera for a four‑hour tour that included a visit to the Isla de las Muñecas, a narrated legends show featuring figures such as La Llorona and El Charro Negro, and refreshments. The experience, priced at 500 pesos per person, took place on Saturday 18 July.
