Mexico speeds up AICM Terminal 2 repaving and opens 20 teacher investigation cases

The Mexico City International Airport (AICM) has accelerated repaving work on Terminal 2, with the projects proceeding without disrupting vehicle traffic in the terminal area.

Separately, the Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) has opened 20 investigation files against teachers in Guerrero who are accused of improperly releasing fare concessions, a case linked to the National Coordination of Education Workers (CNTE).

Both developments were highlighted in a broader Mexican news roundup that also mentioned proposals to strengthen ISSSTE pensions, a national diversity employment fair, salary deductions for teachers in seven states, cartel recruitment tactics on TikTok, a missing journalist in Veracruz, rising waste‑management challenges, protests against an ammonia plant in Sinaloa, and discussions about remote‑work policies for the upcoming World Cup.
