Mexico State launches command center for missing persons searches

Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez has inaugurated the National Immediate Search Alert Command Center in the State of Mexico. The facility is designed to coordinate security forces, justice agencies, and specialized organizations to accelerate responses to disappearance cases.

The center aims to facilitate real-time information sharing and immediate action across different levels of government. It will concentrate national alerts and disappearance reports to establish direct communication between institutional liaisons, allowing authorities to act without waiting for other agencies to conclude their specific procedures.

Operational coordination will be managed by the State of Mexico Commission for the Search of Persons (COBUPEM). Participating entities include the National Search Commission, the State Secretariat of Security, the State Attorney General's Office, the National Guard, and the Secretariat of National Defense. The center will utilize technological tools and video surveillance to monitor, analyze, and exchange information to expedite localization efforts.
