Mexico: State of Mexico supports rural women; Acapulco updates beach guidelines
The Government of the State of Mexico has announced continued support for rural women through the 'Por el Rescate del Campo' and 'Transformando el Campo' programs. To date in 2024, these initiatives have provided more than 19,500 supports, accounting for 46 percent of the total agricultural assistance granted in the state. The aid covers over 100 categories, including productive infrastructure, equipment, and supplies for crops like corn and vegetables, as well as livestock and apiculture.
In Acapulco, Mayor Abelina López Rodríguez participated in the Second Ordinary Session of the Intersecretarial Commission for the Attention, Reconstruction, and Economic Recovery of Acapulco and Coyuca de Benítez. During the session, Sebastián Ramírez Mendoza, Director General of Fonatur, presented new guidelines for beach use and coexistence. The mayor emphasized that the 'Acapulco se Transforma Contigo' program, supported by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, focuses on urban improvement and the well-being of the population.
