Mexico strengthens maritime security protocols in Puerto Vallarta

The Mexican Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) has implemented new maritime security and emergency protocols in Puerto Vallarta. Following coordination meetings between naval authorities, port representatives, and the tourism sector, a new awareness guide has been introduced to improve response capabilities during maritime emergencies.

The protocols are specifically designed for tourism and maritime service providers operating in the bay. The training covers critical emergency actions, including communication channel usage, immediate crew responses, and procedures for assisting individuals who fall overboard, aiming to reduce risks and protect the lives of passengers and crew.
