Mexico student scholarship and subsidy programs update

In Morelos, the Pase Olín program has reached a 95 percent distribution rate for student transportation subsidies. Over 13,428 cards have been issued, providing 1,040 pesos to students. The Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos (UAEM) shows the highest delay in collection, while technological institutes in Cuautla and Zacatepec have reached 98 percent. Students have until next Monday and Tuesday to collect their cards from IMPAJOVEN offices or local delegations to avoid potential cancellation of the benefit.

Nationwide, the Mexican government will open online registration for various Bienestar scholarships from September 21 to September 30. Available programs include the Benito Juárez scholarship for public high school students, providing 1,900 pesos bimonthly, and the Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro scholarship for university students in marginalized conditions, offering 5,800 pesos bimonthly. Additionally, the Gertrudis Bocanegra scholarship provides 1,900 pesos bimonthly for higher education students in Michoacán, Chiapas, Campeche, Sonora, and Zacatecas. The Rita Cetina scholarship will also support families with children in basic public education.
