Mexico: Students injured in Tehuacán dog attack and Medellín de Bravo motorcycle crash

On 24 June 2026, a student in the Granjas de Oriente neighbourhood of Tehuacán, Puebla, was attacked by a pack of dogs that escaped from an opened fence. The teen suffered multiple bites and required emergency assistance from municipal police, paramedics, firefighters and animal‑welfare officials. Residents say dog attacks are common in the area, with at least 15 prior incidents, and complain that the animal owner has not addressed the problem.

A day earlier, on 23 June 2026, two teenage students riding a motorcycle lost control on Avenida Paseo Jamapa Oriente in Medellín de Bravo, Veracruz. The crash left them with serious injuries. Delayed official emergency response prompted nearby residents to aid the victims and transport them to a hospital. The youths, minors attending the TEBA school, remained in medical care with their condition not yet disclosed.
