Mexico survey: 76% of users reject secured credit cards

A survey conducted by Kardmatch and reported by El Economista reveals that 76% of financial users in Mexico are unwilling to provide a cash deposit as collateral to obtain a credit card. Only 24% of respondents would choose a secured credit card option that requires leaving money as a guarantee.

Secured credit cards are often used by individuals with poor credit histories or insufficient proof of income to build financial standing. However, because these cards require users to set aside their own funds to establish a credit line, they are often viewed as unattractive to those seeking immediate liquidity for purchases or emergencies.
