DoorDash Expands New York Restaurant Reservations Service

DoorDash has added an in‑app restaurant reservation feature for New York City, allowing diners to book tables at high‑demand venues such as The Corner Store, The Eighty‑Six, Dante, L’Artusi, Roscioli, Scarpetta and Tokyo Record Bar. The service is available through the DoorDash app, but exclusive tables and premium time slots are limited to DashPass members, the company’s paid subscription that costs $9.99 per month and includes delivery fee waivers, reduced service fees and other perks. New users who make a reservation receive a $10 DoorDash credit, while DashPass members earn $12, redeemable for future deliveries or grocery orders. The rollout follows an earlier launch in Miami and builds on DoorDash’s 2025 acquisition of hospitality‑technology firm SevenRooms for roughly $1.2 billion. The expansion aims to position DoorDash as a broader dining platform beyond food delivery.
