Mexico women's national team announces squad for Jamaica friendlies
The Mexico women's national football team, led by coach Pedro López, has announced its squad for two upcoming friendly matches against Jamaica on October 9 and October 13. These matches serve as the final preparations before the CONCACAF W Championship, where Mexico aims to qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Club América leads the player call-ups with six representatives: Nancy Antonio, Scarlett Camberos, Celeste Espino, Jana Gutiérrez, Kimberly Rodríguez, and Montserrat Saldívar. Other significant club contributions include Pachuca with four players, Tigres with three, and Chivas with two.
The squad also features several international players, including Rebeca Bernal (Manchester United), Jaqueline Ovalle (Orlando Pride), Nicolette Hernández (Boston Legacy), Aaliyah Farmer (Chicago Stars), and Reyna Reyes (Portland Thorns). The first match will take place at Estadio Victoria in Aguascalientes, followed by the second at Estadio Corregidora in Querétaro.
