Mexico Women's National Team to face Jamaica in October friendlies
The Mexico Women's National Team has announced two friendly matches against Jamaica scheduled for October 2026 as part of their preparation for the Concacaf W Championship. These matches serve as critical preparation for qualifying for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The first match will take place on October 9 at Estadio Victoria in Aguascalientes, marking the first time the senior women's national team will play in that state. The second match is scheduled for October 13 at Estadio La Corregidora in Querétaro, which also represents a historic first for the team in that location.
Under the direction of coach Pedro López, the team aims to use these fixtures to refine tactics and physical conditioning before the Concacaf W Championship in November. In that tournament, Mexico is set to face Haiti in the quarterfinals on November 28, a match that could secure a direct path to the World Cup.
