Mexico workplace accidents kill one and injure another in Apodaca and León
A 47‑year‑old construction worker died after falling about seven metres while reinforcing a metal beam at a warehouse in Apodaca, Nuevo León. A second worker was seriously injured and taken to Hospital Metropolitano. Rescue teams from local police, civil protection and emergency services responded and the site was secured for investigation.
In León, Guanajuato, a separate incident occurred when a forklift overturned during a vehicle unloading operation, crushing the driver beneath the machine. The worker was rushed to hospital in critical condition. Police and fire‑department responders cleared the area and are investigating possible operational failures.
Both accidents prompted investigations by municipal and state authorities to determine safety lapses and assign responsibility.
