Mexico's Bienestar Disability Pension Begins Card Distribution in Veracruz

Mexico's Bienestar program started handing out plastic cards for the Disability Pension on 13 May, with distribution continuing through 20 May. The rollout began in the Veracruz‑Boca del Río conurbation for applicants who registered during March, and will expand to nearby municipalities such as Manlio Fabio Altamirano, Medellín and Jamapa.

Beneficiaries are being contacted directly by phone to arrange a specific pick‑up time and location. Designated collection points include modules at Telecom, Volcanes, Coyol, Secati, Dos Lomas, Urano, Carranza and a special desk at the World Trade Center Veracruz. The service operates from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents in hospitals, care homes or bedridden can receive the card at their home if prior notice is given.

Card holders will see their first pension deposits in the July payment cycle. Those who missed the March registration must wait one to two bimesters for a card. Registration status can also be verified online through the portal gob.mx/bienestar by entering the CURP.
