Mexico's Bienestar program extends July payments for pensions
The Mexican Secretariat of Bienestar announced that the July‑August bimonthly disbursements for its social assistance schemes will continue through July 29 across all 32 states. Payments are made directly from the federal treasury to beneficiaries' Banco del Bienestar cards, without intermediaries, and are scheduled according to the first letter of the recipient’s surname. For example, on July 15 deposits were made for surnames beginning with H‑K. The program includes a 6,400‑peso pension for adults 65 and older, a 3,100‑peso pension for women aged 60‑64, a 3,300‑peso pension for persons with disabilities, and a 1,650‑peso support for children of working mothers. Recipients are urged to check their accounts and are not required to withdraw the funds on the day of deposit.
