Mexico’s Bienestar program rolls out new women’s cards and double pension payments in May 2026

The State of Mexico’s Secretariat of Bienestar began distributing the new “Mujeres con Bienestar” debit cards to eligible women aged 18‑59 in the municipalities of Chimalhuacán, Xonacatlán, Cuautitlán, Los Reyes La Paz and Valle de Bravo. Recipients, who registered in 2023‑2024 and updated their data, will be contacted by phone or SMS to pick up the cards and activate them via the official Bienestar app. Each card provides a monthly cash support of 2,500 pesos for at least one year.

In the same month, the federal Bienestar pension program will make a double payment to senior beneficiaries. Men aged 65 and older and women aged 60‑64 who are also ISSSTE retirees will receive a minimum of 6,400 pesos and 3,000 pesos respectively, with deposits scheduled for the end of May – the first installment by May 27 and the second by May 29. The double payment combines the regular Bienestar pension for the May‑June bimonthly period with the ISSSTE pension for June.
