Mexico's Border Cities Host Community Races in Tijuana and Juárez

A third edition of the 5K Carrera Salesiana will take place on Sunday, 9 August in Tijuana, starting and finishing at the Parroquia María Auxiliadora. Organized by the Salesian project, the event costs 250 pesos and includes a medal, a shirt and family‑friendly activities such as a folkloric dance performance, games and food stalls.

In Juárez, the municipal Institute of Sport and Physical Culture (IMDEJ) announced the LVII International Friendship Race for Sunday, 6 September. The race offers a free recreational registration and a 300‑peso fee for the competitive category, with a prize pool of 360 000 pesos and a raffle for four new motorcycles. A children’s race is scheduled for Saturday, 5 September, featuring short distances for participants under ten years old.
