Mexico's Chamber of Deputies Concludes 2026 Women Leaders Mentorship Program

The Mexican Chamber of Deputies wrapped up its 2026 Women Leaders Mentorship Program at the Palace of Legislative Sessions. The six‑month initiative brought together roughly 100 women officials, advisors and staff from across parliamentary offices, providing them with training in legislative processes, budget analysis with a gender lens, and negotiation techniques. Participants completed more than 120 hours of theoretical and practical instruction.

Mentorship was delivered by senior parliamentarians and experts, with about 25 high‑ranking legislators acting as mentors in the first article and a total of 50 mentors cited in the second. Fifty women in operational roles were highlighted as having finished the five‑month track, while overall program metrics show a 95% completion rate among participants. The closing ceremony also featured remarks from Deputy Delhi Miroslava Shember Domínguez, president of the Mexico‑Switzerland Friendship Group, and representatives of the Swiss‑Mexican Chamber, who underscored the partnership’s role in fostering talent and noted Swiss‑Mexican corporate investments exceeding 4 billion Swiss francs for 2025‑2030.
