Mexico's Chihuahua Congress Schedules July Sessions in Guachochi and Hidalgo del Parral

The Chihuahua State Congress declared the municipalities of Guachochi and Hidalgo del Parral as official venues for its Permanent Deputation sessions, scheduled for 6 July and 17 July 2026. The move, approved by the congressional leadership, aims to bring the legislature closer to citizens in the state's remote regions.

In related parliamentary changes, Deputy Jaime Torres Amaya submitted a request on 1 June to join the National Action Party (PAN) group, while Deputy Rosana Díaz Reyes filed a petition on 8 June to leave the Morena group and serve as an independent. Both requests were accepted, altering the composition of the 68th legislative term's party groups.
