Mexico's CONALEP Chihuahua aims for record 8,500 student enrollment in 2026‑27
The National College of Technical Professional Education (CONALEP) in Chihuahua expects to enroll close to 8,500 students for the 2026‑27 school cycle, up from more than 5,500 admitted in 2024. Director Omar Bazán highlighted the sustained growth and noted that the increase comes from expanded coverage across campuses in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Delicias, Cuauhtémoc, Santa Bárbara and Parral. He also reminded prospective students of the diagnostic exam scheduled for 19 June at their assigned schools.
In Coahuila, university enrollment has risen steadily over the past eight cycles, reaching 132,730 students in 2025‑26 compared with 99,468 in 2018‑19. The number of university institutions grew to 170 from 161, while technical schools decreased to 50 from 62.
