Mexico's CONALEP Hidalgo presents AGROFLY drone system to SADER

The Technical Professional Education College of Hidalgo (CONALEP Hidalgo), together with the State Environment and Natural Resources Secretariat (SEMARNATH Hidalgo), presented the AGROFLY project to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER). AGROFLY is a drone‑mounted device that remotely disperses biodegradable "life spheres" to accelerate reforestation and ecological restoration in areas that are difficult to access.

The meeting was attended by SADER secretary Columba Jazmín López Gutiérrez, Hidalgo environment secretary Mónica Patricia Mixtega Trejo, and recent CONALEP graduate José de Jesús Rivas Ángeles, who designed the dispersal mechanism. The initiative follows a request from President Claudia Sheinbaum and aligns with the policies of Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar and Education Secretary Natividad Castrejón Valdez, aiming to support national reforestation programs.
