Mexico's DIF Municipal Programs Boost Diaper and Hearing Aid Aid
The municipal DIF office in Camargo, Chihuahua, will keep accepting applications for its diaper‑delivery program after more than 100 families with permanent disabilities registered. Director Jorge Espinoza said the initiative, funded with municipal resources, relieves households that otherwise spend up to 150 pesos per bag of diapers.
In Parral, also in Chihuahua, the municipal DIF, led by president Nora Carrillo de Calderón, handed out a free hearing aid to 93‑year‑old Félix Caro Torres and announced the authorization of 100 additional devices. Residents can register at the DIF’s Social Work department starting at 8:30 a.m. to receive the aid.
Both programs illustrate local DIF efforts to provide essential health‑related support to vulnerable families in Mexico.
