Mexico's electoral institute equips new parties Somos México and PAZ with offices and staff

The National Electoral Institute (INE) has begun administrative delivery of offices, personnel, access cards, furniture, parking spaces and legislative reference materials to the newly registered national parties Somos México and Partido PAZ. The allocation provides the parties with public funding, guaranteed broadcast time and the legal framework required to contest the 2027 federal and local elections.

In Coahuila, Somos México held its first state assembly, appointing a state executive committee headed by Gustavo de la Rosa Ramírez. The committee will organize the party’s candidacies in all 38 municipalities and eight federal districts for 2027, emphasizing solo participation, openness to citizens without prior party affiliations, and a rule that current state leaders cannot run for office.
