Mexico's FGR links detainee to illegal military‑grade firearm in Tlaxcala

The Federal Prosecutor's Office (FGR) in the state of Tlaxcala obtained a judicial order linking Genderson N to the illegal possession of a firearm reserved for the Mexican Armed Forces. Guardia Nacional agents stopped the suspect’s vehicle on the Arco Norte highway, pursued him, and seized the weapon, which lacked the required permit.

Following the collection of evidence, the FGR filed charges, the judge ordered preventive detention and set a one‑month deadline to conclude the supplementary investigation. The suspect is presumed innocent until a court ruling. The prosecutor’s office emphasized its commitment to investigating federal crimes and urged citizens to report offenses at any time.
