Mexico's Hidalgo and Texmelucan Upgrade Fire Services

Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar of Hidalgo inaugurated the "José María Morelos y Pavón" fire station and new civil‑protection offices, a project costing more than 91 million pesos. The facility includes modern technology, a 42‑metre ladder truck to become operational in November, and the addition of 19 firefighters.

In San Martín Texmelucan, Mayor Juan Manuel Alonso Ramírez presented the fire corps with ten NFPA‑certified fire suits, rescue tools, radios and multi‑gas detectors, and equipped the pre‑hospital services with oxygen tanks, immobilisation kits and portable stretchers. The equipment was funded through the community‑driven "Peso a Peso" collection, underscoring local support for improved emergency response.
