Mexico's IMSS and Culture Ministry select 100 performing‑arts projects for 2026‑27

Mexico's Institute of Social Security (IMSS) and the federal Secretariat of Culture announced the selection of 100 theatre, dance and multidisciplinary projects, drawn from 29 states, to receive a grant of 300,000 pesos each. The total program investment is 30 million pesos and aims to strengthen the circulation of performing‑arts companies, create new presentation circuits and broaden public access.

The projects will stage six performances each between August 2026 and March 2027 on the IMSS theatre network, covering 24 cities in eight regional circuits. The initiative includes 66 theatre shows, 22 dance performances and 12 multidisciplinary projects with music, offering audiences across the country greater exposure to the arts.
