Mexico's INE completes electoral material distribution in Coahuila
The National Electoral Institute (INE) announced that the distribution of electoral packages in the state of Coahuila is virtually finished. Packages containing ballots and documentation have been counted, sealed and delivered to the 4,275 polling stations slated for the upcoming local election, including 15 special stations for voters in transit. Security forces oversaw the chain‑of‑custody and the delivery was carried out by the INE’s Capacitación Asistentes Electorales (CAE).
INE executive board member Miguel Castillo Morales said that all poll workers have been notified, trained and have participated in mock drills. The institute expects the final deliveries to be completed by Friday, ahead of the Sunday voting day, ensuring the electoral infrastructure is ready for the election of local deputies and the state congress renewal.
