San Luis Potosí lifts academic profile with Spain conference and inaugural women’s science congress

Professor José Federico de la Torre from the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de San Luis Potosí represented Mexico as a speaker at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he received a recognition for his conference on municipal management capacities.

The state government also hosted the first Congreso de la Red Potosina de Mujeres por la Ciencia, attracting about 200 participants from academia, industry and civil society. The event featured plenary talks, panels and workshops on STEM, arts, social sciences, gender and entrepreneurship, aiming to strengthen visibility and empowerment of women in science and technology in San Luis Potosí.
