Mexico's Ministry of Culture announces theatrical and traditional events

The Mexican Ministry of Culture, through various national institutes and coordination bodies, is presenting new cultural initiatives. The play ‘Pedro y Julián’, written and directed by Conchi León and presented by the SAAS TUN company, explores themes of parenting, love, and diverse family structures. The story follows Paloma, who returns to Mérida and must care for two children, Pedro and Julián, discovering the importance of affection and care in contemporary society.

Additionally, the XXVI Feria de las Calacas is scheduled for October 31 and November 1, 2026. Organized by the Alas y Raíces coordination in alliance with UNICEF Mexico, the event will take place at Cenart. The festival aims to celebrate Day of the Dead traditions through artistic expressions, workshops, and performances involving various national cultural institutions and schools.
