Mexico's NAFIN and Caintra Sign Deal to Boost Financing for MIPYMES

Mexico's development bank Nacional Financiera (NAFIN) and the regional industry chamber Caintra of Nuevo León have signed a collaboration agreement to expand credit, guarantees and production‑chain financing for micro, small and medium enterprises (MIPYMES). The pact outlines five strategic pillars: easier access to financing, regulatory improvements, financial education, digital payment services and formalization of fiscal and labor practices. A pilot program will involve large “anchor” suppliers linked to the chamber, enabling factor‑based financing and credit‑history building through Credicadenas. The agreement also includes free technical training for companies and individual entrepreneurs, and involves Banregio as the first financial intermediary. Officials highlighted that the initiative could benefit over 20,000 MIPYMES across sectors such as textiles, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, semiconductors, automotive, agro‑industry and aerospace, thereby enhancing productivity and job creation under the Plan México strategy.
