Mexico's Open University Announces 2026 Online Enrollment for 20,040 Students

The Mexican Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) opened the 2026 Convocatoria for the Universidad Abierta y a Distancia de México (UnADM). The call offers 20,040 places across 20 undergraduate programmes, including law, software development, nutrition, biotechnology, marketing, logistics, accounting, public administration and others.

Registration runs from 20 July to 2 August 2026 on the official UnADM portal. Applicants must be Mexican citizens with a secondary‑school diploma, a verified or biometric CURP and proof of completion of an approved online course. The admission process includes four mandatory stages: document upload, a survey (10–16 August), a skills questionnaire (24 August–6 September) and an entry course (28 September–18 October). Accepted candidates will be posted on 9 November 2026, with enrollment beginning thereafter. Classes start with a propedeutic course on 4 January 2027 and the first semester on 11 January 2027.

The initiative is part of the government’s target to create 330,000 new university slots nationwide by 2030.
