Mexico’s Puebla and Chihuahua States Roll Out Anti‑Corruption Training for Municipal Officials

The government of the state of Puebla and the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) signed a strategic alliance to produce a Practical Municipal Governance Guide. The partnership, led by the State Anticorruption and Good Governance Secretariat, created the SABG‑BUAP Editorial Committee to validate academic and technical content aimed at improving transparency, accountability and integrity in Puebla’s municipalities.

In the state of Chihuahua, the Fiscalía Anticorrupción organized a regional anti‑corruption forum that gathered 120 municipal officials from ten municipalities. The forum stressed the need for permanent prevention, detection and training measures, and pledged continued institutional support to strengthen local oversight bodies and foster a culture of legality.
