Puebla State Congress approves road safety and rehabilitation exhortos
The Commission of Communications and Infrastructure of the Puebla State Congress, chaired by deputy Norma Estela Pimentel Méndez, approved two exhorto agreements. One urges the state Secretariat of Infrastructure, in coordination with the municipalities of Ixtacamaxtitlán, Eloxochitlán and Ajalpan, to carry out a comprehensive technical diagnosis and, where needed, rehabilitation or expansion of the road linking Ixtacamaxtitlán with the Tentzoncuahuigtic inspectorate and the stretch connecting Eloxochitlán and Ajalpan. The second exhorto requests the federal SICT Puebla centre to strengthen preventive signage, protective barriers and other safety measures on construction sections of Federal Highway Mexico 190. Deputies highlighted the need to protect motorists, improve mobility and support social‑economic development in the region, and called for prompt coordination among state, municipal and federal authorities.
