Mexico's Querétaro South Bypass Road Works Continue

The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) reported that conservation work on the Libramiento Surponiente in Querétaro is ongoing. More than 26 million pesos have been allocated to rehabilitate sections of the federal toll‑free road network, which spans over 680 kilometres.

Current activities focus on milling and resurfacing the highway between kilometres 2.5 km and 5 km (covering Candiles and San José de los Olvera) and between kilometres 36.5 km and 46 km (linking Juriquilla‑Mompaní with Santa Rosa Jauregui). Over 300 pothole reports recorded through a monitoring system have been addressed, and additional pothole‑repair efforts are being intensified. Drivers are urged to observe speed limits, signage and safety precautions while the works continue.
