Mexico's Saltillo and Ciudad Victoria boost road‑paving efforts
Mayor Javier Díaz González of Saltillo directed municipal crews to rehabilitate several streets, including the Fundadores boulevard and avenues in the Santa Bárbara neighborhood. The work, coordinated with Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas, responded to citizen reports made through the “Saltillo Fácil” virtual assistant and aimed to improve safety and traffic flow for thousands of motorists.
In Ciudad Victoria, Public Works Secretary Eusebio Alfaro Reyna announced an expansion of the city’s permanent pothole‑filling program. The municipality will add more crews, heavier machinery, and a revised technical procedure that applies, compacts and then reinforces patched sections to extend durability and reduce repeat failures. The initiative seeks to address citizen complaints and raise the overall quality of street maintenance in the capital of Tamaulipas.
