Mexico's Sectur announces renewal of Tourism Documentation Center

The Mexican Secretariat of Tourism (Sectur) has announced a renewal project for the Tourism Documentation Center (CEDOC), an institution established in 1989. The initiative aims to modernize facilities, improve branding, and strengthen digital resources to better serve students, researchers, and industry professionals.

The CEDOC collection includes 16,626 physical titles and 13,703 digitized titles available for free online consultation. Additionally, the center maintains a repository of 2,323 documents generated by Sectur and an Open Science repository containing 387 titles from recognized specialists.

Tourism Secretary Josefina Rodríguez Zamora stated that the project focuses on the organization and systematization of the collection to preserve Mexico's tourism history and facilitate access to specialized knowledge regarding the sector's evolution and future opportunities.
