Mexico's SEP awards academic merit medals to 50 Conalep graduates

Mexico's Secretary of Public Education, Mario Delgado Carrillo, presented the 2026 Conalep Academic Merit Medals to 50 graduates from the 2023-2026 generation. The recipients achieved excellence in various technical fields across different campuses nationwide.

During the ceremony, Delgado Carrillo emphasized the concept of the ‘National Baccalaureate,’ noting that a common curricular framework is being used to strengthen public education and unify different subsystems. He stated that the initiative aims to dispel the notion of unequal quality among high schools, asserting that public education in the country is of high caliber.

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo also recognized the students, highlighting the creativity and quality of those graduating from the National College of Technical Professional Education (Conalep). The curriculum provides technical training in specialized areas including robotics, drone operation, informatics, data science, artificial intelligence, and automated systems maintenance.
