Mexico's SEyD Publishes High School Admission Results for 2026‑27
On 12 June, Mexico’s Secretaría de Educación y Deporte (SEyD) released the results of the admission process to public secondary‑level schools for the 2026‑2027 academic cycle. Registration ran from 13 April to 31 May through the Sistema de Información Educativa portal, attracting just over 50 000 applicants, including current third‑year secondary students and prospective students from earlier or other cycles.
Placement was assigned automatically by the Sistema de Asignación a Educación Media Superior (Siaems) based on school capacity, student preferences and equity criteria such as gender balance, disability status and sibling enrolment. Assigned students must report to their designated school on 19 June for an educational diagnostic. SEyD provided telephone support (Chihuahua capital 614‑429‑3300, Ciudad Juárez 656‑629‑3300) for inquiries.
Applicants who did not receive a place or missed the registration window will be informed of remaining vacancies soon.
