Nine Sinaloa Cartel Suspects Arrested for Multiple Homicide in Chiapas

State prosecutor Jorge Luis Llaven Abarca announced that nine men suspected of belonging to the Sinaloa Cartel were detained in connection with the multiple homicide of eight people in the El Bosque area of Chiapas. The victims, five identified males and three unidentified bodies, were found along the Jitotol‑Bochil stretch near the municipality of El Bosque. Authorities recovered three vehicles, 29 firearms (including AK‑47s and R‑15s), ammunition, tactical gear, drones, and narcotics.

The prosecutor stated that “the motive for the multiple execution was a dispute over drug‑retail sales.” All detainees are expected to face justice while the investigation continues, with federal forces assisting the state’s Mesa Estatal de Paz led by Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar.
