Mexico's Tabasco Launches Festival Cultural Ceiba 2026

Governor Javier May Rodríguez and federal Culture Secretary Claudia Curiel de Icaza inaugurated the Festival Cultural Ceiba 2026 in Tabasco, themed “Raíz, Legado y Encuentro.” The three‑day event, running from July 31 to August 2, joins the National Festival for Peace circuit and features Colombia as the invited guest country.

During the opening ceremony, the Savia del Edén award was presented to three cultural figures: broadcaster Griselda Luciano de la Cruz, musician Tino Escalante Zapata, and composer‑promoter Pedro Luis Bartilotti Perea (represented by his son Luis Alfonso Bartilotti). President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum, represented by Secretary Curiel, highlighted the festival’s role in showcasing local talent while fostering national and international dialogue, and announced expanded federal support for such festivals.
