Mexican Universities Launch International Scholarship and Tech Collaboration

The Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur (UABCS) signed a partnership with the legal firm Jurídico Zamorano to award 15 full scholarships for a specialised international diploma on global crime and responsible business law. The programme, coordinated by Spain’s University of Salamanca, will run from 3 July to 1 August 2026, blending virtual instruction with in‑person sessions at UABCS’s Los Cabos campus.

Separately, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Monterrey Institute of Technology (Tec de Monterrey) established a scientific alliance centred in Mexico City’s Tlalpan district. The collaboration creates shared laboratories and funding mechanisms aimed at advancing research in sustainable urban development, smart mobility, biotechnology and other priority areas, with the goal of increasing patent output, incubating high‑impact tech firms and addressing national challenges in water, energy and public health.
