Mexico's World Cup Win Over Czechia and Security Plans for Next Match

Mexico secured a 3‑0 victory against Czechia at the Estadio Ciudad de México, marking the host nation's first three consecutive World Cup wins. Goals came from Mateo Chávez, Gil Mora and Quiñones, and goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa made his sixth World Cup appearance.

In preparation for Mexico's upcoming third match, the capital's authorities will deploy about 56,000 police officers and 899 public‑service staff. Measures include restricting alcohol sales, installing 180 public restrooms and 756 waste containers, setting up screens around major plazas, and issuing weather alerts as heavy rain and strong winds are expected. Public transport will operate from 13:00 to move fans to the Azteca stadium safely.
