MFDF Jihlava celebrates 30th anniversary of documentary film festival

The 30th anniversary of the MFDF Jihlava documentary film festival is taking place from October 23 to November 1. Festival director Marek Hovorka noted the event's evolution from a local gathering to an internationally recognized platform that receives thousands of film submissions from every continent.

This year's program includes a special anniversary section titled ‘Films That Changed the World’. Featured works include Eliška Andršová Cílková’s observational film regarding figure skater Barbora Vránková, and Karolína Hovězáková’s short debut ‘Love Video Letter’, which explores female anger. Most films will be available for online viewing for two weeks following the festival.
