All Japan Road Race Championship announces 2027 provisional calendar

The Japan Motorcycle Federation (MFJ) has released the provisional calendar for the 2027 All Japan Road Race Championship. The premier JSB1000 class is scheduled for 10 rounds, including four races with a two-race format. Other classes, including ST600, J-GP3, and JP-SPORT, are slated for six rounds each, while the ST1000 class schedule is currently being adjusted.

The 2027 JSB1000 season is set to begin on April 17–18 at Mobility Resort Motegi. This upcoming season follows the announced retirement of Yamaha rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga, a 13-time champion, following the 2026 season.

In recent racing action at the 2026 MFJ All Japan Road Race Championship Round 5 at Mobility Resort Motegi, Tetta Nagashima narrowly missed a victory in the JSB1000 class. Racing for the DUNLOP Racing Team with YAHAGI, Nagashima led until the final lap but was overtaken just before the finish, losing by 0.1 seconds.
