MFK Karviná trims squad as forward Vinicius seeks new club
Coach Roman West confirmed that forward Kahuan Vinicius has left MFK Karviná, with the Brazilian looking for a new contract after interest from Pardubice was rebuffed. Vinicius, who joined the club in 2022, made 40 league appearances and scored eight goals before departing.
The club also expects defender Neuman and midfielder Štorman to exit, while it has reinforced the roster with experienced defensive midfielder Radim Breite, signed from Zbrojovka Brno. West highlighted the need for a stronger defensive midfield after a recent 1‑0 win over Vlašim, noting the changes made to the starting eleven for the match.
Karviná remains in the Czech second division, sitting eighth in the table, and will rely on the remaining squad members, including new signing Breite, to maintain their position.
